Bell Helmets has been named Official Sponsor of the 2017 Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Jingle Cross/Iowa City and the Official Helmet of the Jingle Cross.
Bell’s partnership with the Telenet UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup and Jingle Cross races in Iowa City was a natural for the company, said Bell Brand Manager James H. Hibbard.
“With a heavy sports marketing investment in cyclo-cross athletes who have made Jingle Cross a priority, and more generally as a brand that has supported cyclo-cross for a number of years, it only made sense for Bell to partner with Jingle Cross,” Hibbard said. “We’re all excited not only for the event’s UCI World Cup status, but also to be supporting the continued growth and interest in elite cyclo-cross racing in America.”
The Telenet UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup and Jingle Cross races will take place Sept. 15-17 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. The annual Jingle Cross races will take place Sept. 15-16, followed by the World Cup men’s and women’s races on Sept. 17.
“We are very excited to partner with Bell Helmets, the leader in cycling safety,” said race director John Meehan. “Bell has a long history of supporting the world’s premiere sporting events with superior head gear that allows athletes of all levels to have fun while knowing they’re wearing the best safety gear in the industry.”
The three-day cyclo-cross event also will include the Deschutes Brewery Beers and Gears festival, featuring Deschutes Brewery beers only found in the company’s Oregon brew pubs and a VIP experience that includes a premium viewing spot along the start/finish line, gourmet food, and craft beer.
